Salary Range: $55-65k CAD

Job Summary 

We're looking for an experienced and driven Assistant Store Manager to support our Toronto location. As the Assistant Store Manager, you're a key leader on the store team—partnering with the Store Manager to drive results, develop talent, and create an exceptional guest experience that embodies the spirit of Left On Friday.

 

You'll lead day-to-day operations, coach and develop the team, ensure smooth salesfloor execution, and step up as the leader when the Store Manager is out. You'll drive sales, maintain operational excellence, and help build a tight-knit, high-performing team culture. Beyond the day-to-day, you'll support community partnerships and in-store activations that strengthen our local presence.

 

This role requires leadership experience, a solutions-oriented mindset, a passion for people development, and an obsession for delivering great guest experiences. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is excited to grow with one of the fastest-growing brands out there.

 


Core Responsibilities 

 

Store Performance & Operations

  • Partner with Store Manager to drive daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets

  • Lead sales floor operations to ensure efficiency, guest satisfaction, and team productivity

  • Support store P&L management and budget accountability

  • Execute daily operational tasks including opening/closing procedures, inventory management, and visual merchandising standards

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on policies, procedures, and operational standards

  • Test new ideas and share learnings to inform future store planning

 

Guest Experience

  • Provide premium guest experiences and model brand standards for the team

  • Move dynamically on the floor to assess guest needs and support the team in real-time

  • Resolve guest feedback and address issues with empathy and urgency

  • Share fit and style expertise during try-on sessions and private parties

  • Create an environment where guests want to return again and again

 

Team Leadership & Development

  • Coach, mentor, and develop Floor Leaders and Fit Experts to perform at their best

  • Provide direct feedback and support ongoing learning and career development

  • Support recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and performance management processes

  • Foster a respectful, inclusive, and collaborative team culture

  • Create and manage team schedules in partnership with the Store Manager

  • Lead team recognition and hold team members accountable to results

 

Community

  • Support and lead in-store and off-site community activations

  • Build relationships with local partners and act as a brand ambassador in the market

  • Collaborate with internal teams to execute community events that drive brand awareness

Key Skills & Experience:

  • 1-2 years of retail management or leadership experience

  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop teams

  • Strong operational skills including scheduling, inventory management, and P&L awareness

  • Ability to work a full-time schedule including varied hours/days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

  • Proficient in Google Workspace applications and ShopifyPOS (or ability to learn quickly)

  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a solutions-oriented mindset
