Role Overview:
As the Sourcing Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping and executing Left On Friday’s global sourcing strategy to support our premium active swimwear and lifestyle product lines. You will be responsible for identifying, vetting, onboarding, and developing strategic vendor partnerships that balance quality, capacity, cost, compliance, and scalability as LOF continues to grow.
Working in close partnership with Production, Merchandising, Raw Materials Planning and cross-functional teams, you will ensure LOF has the right vendor ecosystem in place—today and in the future. This role is ideal for a strategic, relationship-driven leader who is equally comfortable negotiating costs, evaluating operational risk, and building long-term supplier partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sourcing Strategy & Vendor Development
-
Develop and execute LOF’s global sourcing strategy across swimwear, activewear, and lifestyle categories.
-
Identify, evaluate, and onboard new manufacturing partners, mills, and service providers aligned with LOF’s quality, cost, and sustainability standards.
-
Lead vendor vetting and qualification, including capacity assessments, capability reviews, compliance checks, and risk evaluations.
-
Build long-term sourcing roadmaps that support growth, diversification, and business continuity.
2. Vendor Management & Performance
-
Own day-to-day vendor relationships in partnership with Production and Raw Materials Development.
-

Drive continuous improvement initiatives with vendors to improve efficiency, scalability, and margin performance.
-
Manage vendor consolidation and expansion decisions based on performance and strategic fit.
3. Capacity Planning & Risk Management
-
Build and maintain vendor capacity plans aligned with LOF’s seasonal projections and long-term growth targets.
-
Partner with vendors to forecast production needs, reserve capacity, and plan for peak demand periods.
-
Identify sourcing risks (capacity constraints, geopolitical factors, material dependencies, cost volatility) and develop mitigation strategies.
-
Support business continuity planning through vendor diversification and dual-sourcing strategies.
4. Costing, Negotiation & Commercial Strategy
-
Lead cost negotiations at the program, style, and vendor level to achieve margin targets while maintaining quality standards.
-
Partner with Production and Finance to evaluate cost drivers, improve transparency, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
-
Support long-range financial planning through accurate costing assumptions and vendor-level pricing strategies.
-
Negotiate commercial terms including MOQs, lead times, payment terms, and pricing structures.
5. Compliance, Ethics & Sustainability
-
Ensure all vendor partners meet LOF’s ethical sourcing, compliance, and sustainability standards.
-
Partner with Raw Materials Development to align sourcing decisions with preferred materials, certifications, and sustainability goals.
-
Support audits, documentation, and ongoing compliance requirements across the vendor base.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
-
Work closely with Production to ensure sourcing strategies align with execution realities and delivery timelines.
-
Partner with Raw Materials Planning to align fabric, trim, and material strategies with vendor capabilities.
-
Collaborate with Merchandising to support new product initiatives and future category expansion.
-
Provide clear sourcing updates, recommendations, and risk assessments to leadership.
