Seasonal Store Manager
Summer Contract [May - Sept 2024]
Port Carling, Muskoka

The Store Manager is responsible for all aspects of retail operations and community engagement in our summer store. In this role, you will be opening a Left On Friday retail space directly on the lake. The role’s objective is to build brand awareness and drive guest acquisition through premium guest experience, product education, fit sessions and community activations.

The role requires an entrepreneurial mindset, strength in operations and product knowledge, and a high standard of  guest experience and issues management. This role supports the growth and evolution of the brand. You will test and learn store initiatives and be an imperative contributor to future store planning. You will get to work with a small, brilliant team on one of the most desirable, fast growing brands out there today!


Core Responsibilities: 

  • You provide a premium guest experience and act as an ambassador of the brand.
  • You create a retail & community space where guests want to come back again and again.
  • You are a fit and style expert for try-on sessions and private parties.
  • You solve for guest issues and crisis management.
  • You execute daily in-store operational tasks.
  • You work in partnership with our cross-functional teams to ensure company policies, procedures and reporting are in alignment.
  • You give and receive feedback and take on tough conversations as an opportunity to grow.
  • You take accountability for your store’s financial results.
  • You host community events for guests to experience the brand.
  • You collaborate with brand partners to elevate guest experiences.
  • You are responsible for inventory management and audits.
  • You lead visual merchandising of the store and ensure standards are maintained.
  • You ensure all directives provided by the Community and Marketing teams are followed.
  • You test new ideas and report learnings to inform future store planning.

Key traits/experience we’re looking for: 

  • At least 2-4 years of experience in retail management and community engagement
  • Ability to work a full-time schedule including varied hours/days including nights, weekends and holidays as needed
  • Proficient in Google Workplace applications
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and takes accountability for owning your business
  • Naturally connects with people in a relatable way
  • Passionate about building a brand
  • A self starter who is eager, agile and resourceful 
  • Ability to think outside the box and drive results
  • Loves being in, on and around water
  • Creates a fun and welcoming environment
  • Okay working on your own
